tovi scruggs

tovi scruggs-hussein a visionary, author, and award-winning urban educator with over 25 years of leadership, meditation, and transformation experience. she is a recognized leader in teaching meditation, wellness, and self-mastery, having had a daily meditation practice since 1993, and also sitting four week-long silent retreats. tovi serves as an expert leader in equity, trauma-informed resilience, and emotional intelligence development for leaders so that the culture-climate of our organizations is transformed to improve outcomes. she is on a mission to heal our leaders and organizations through adult social emotional learning, emotional intelligence via mindfulness, equity/ racial healing, and trauma-informed resilience. tovi is a founding adjunct professor of trauma-informed leadership at mills college and is the national president for coalition for schools educating mindfully.  tovi cultivates conscious, connected, and courageous leaders world-wide.
